What Orphen thought of is that "there can't be only despair here", let's not force it out of its context, and throughout his contradictions with those who claimed that despair was everything their people could be reduced to, he even answered a couple of times what were the alternatives humans chose in order to survive despair and manage to live on.
He is also focused on their problem at hand, that's why she chose to confess some other time, she understands what they need to focus on and that romance is an unsuitable topic for their current circumstances, even if she might feel like she'll never get the chance to tell him how she really feels. What I like and find most ironic is that in their short chat they made it completely clear that they read and understand each other better than anyone else. Sometimes better than they themselves. That's why they can live with each other's flaws and "annoying" traits and appreciate each other's qualities to quite the extent. 😏
The animation is poor(the anime is made by the studio which most Nanatsu no Taizai fans find to be a damning insult, especially to some of the most energetic fights in the 2nd half of the story; even if deen outsourced to marvy jack, it was under their authority that such a terrifying product went out on the market), so most people seem to be jobbers when the intended effect is the difference between their reaction time and that of someone superior in speed, agility, strength and skill.
But, plot-wise, as Orphen said, a sorcerer can go through a long period of not fighting, and if the Apostles have been stuck mostly with bureaucracy in the recent years, while the Numbers and other henchmen were sent out on the field, they'd grow rusty in fighting skill.
I don't think Claiomh wanted to actually confess, that was a joke (see my ":D").
Animation or not, Jack would have deserved some more time and a bit more climatic send off :(
You seem to strongly dislike Claiomh, so no offense if I didn't take that emoji as a sign of a joke. Besides, it could be both that and the mystery reason for her gesture in episode 10, by this point she is clearly in love with him, and we're getting some vague signs it might not be exactly unrequited(even though they'd prioritise the world's potential ending over figuring their relationship out, as they should).
Had the revelation of his special ability been more impressive, I would've agreed about Jack. As things stand, I'm not even sure he was addressing genuine demon possession, as opposed to what they're trying to do with Swedenborge, who upon summoning would clearly need a host,
No offence taken and I can't see why I would even ponder about taking it :)
I can't see much romance here, actually; I know they ultimately end up together (poor Orphen!), but nothing has been shown much.
Never seen Taizai.
its very astract for western minds... so, the average shonen watcher or mindless action series won't get this... is what it is.. its like old school jrpg made into an anime, kinda. (modern contrived attention spans won't be able to handle a show like this, again, is what it is..)
abstract*
I guess if those people were to work more subtle works like Paranoia Agent, Ghost in the Shell or Ergo Proxy they would die by aneurism long before rage quitting...
orphen was more like
YOU THINK??! XD
and its funnier and sad when she literally said " maybe i wasnt"
I love the show because of the game many many years ago
People still bitching about this LMAO
Ofc (¬‿¬)
Successor of Razor's edge
Everyone is alin. Despair...I was wondering what kind of demon lord they gonna summon..are there multiple demon king?
i see the nokkers are back :v
5 days to calamity......( or 1 episode, idk)
does this even interest anyone?
This is 4th season lmao. I can't stop half way but to drag my feet.
Same here
kinda bonkers this shit keeps getting seasons and way better shows are neglected
it got boring so quickly, I'm not into BDSM dude
Yeah me
Bring back black clover not this garbage!!
Ah, I thought we were done with commenters just whining about how this show is bad, but still watching each single episode for 4 seasons; oh, well: I guess someone really has plenty of time on their hands.
I liked how Claiomh seemed close to confess to Orphen and he immediately thought of despair: quite fitting :D
BTW, Jack Frisbee at full power in the next episode; I hope he won't end up a low level jobber like the 13 Apostles that were highly hyped in the first season and just ended up being the punching bags of the MC, with their average fighting prowess just above Majic.
